leslie
I will be buying the Klipsch RCR-5 in-ceiling speakers for my 6th and 7th speaker in my 7.1 system. Question: Do I also need to buy the install kit? Does anybody have any experience installing these in-ceiling speakers (Klipsch in particular). ben.
If the dealer can't answer that question, you should buy them from someone who can. (Not me, I have no idea!!)
wesgoff
I worked for Ultimate for almost 2 years and have installed many in-wall and in-ceiling speakers. As far as installing them, all your need is a sheetrock saw and a screwdriver. just be sure there is room for the basket in the ceiling (watch for joists, wires, pipes, vents, etc. The hard part is getting the wires to the speakers. If pre-wired, then your set. if not, then hire a pro!
minn_male42
as was mentioned above....if you are prewired, it is very easy to install your speakers.... if not i would suggest tools from the following company....Labor Saving Devices.... they have tools specifically designed for installing wire, speakers, fixtures, boxes, and more in existing walls and ceilings.... i have used some of their tools...they work great and save you a ton of time.... here is the website.... http://www.lsdinc.com/. good luck!
