Fish Posted April 24, 2003 Share Posted April 24, 2003 I have owned or auditioned most multi players,they all had some minor(some not minor) thing that bugged me.This player has addressed my issues at CES,and in print,soon the ultimate test.I ordered this unit today and will have it(maybe) in early May.I will try to give an objective review. I stopped by the local AV store Century Electronics today to get myself a pair of RB-5s, and the guy mentioned he visited Denon offices recently and auditioned DVD2900 - he confirms what we all know - this is a terrific unit. Aside from standard kudos, he particularly mentioned one feature I liked a lot - in stereo CD playback mode this unit is using all the DACs from surround chanels to do "double up-sampling".
