lynnm Posted May 1, 2003 Share Posted May 1, 2003 Re: Reversing polarity on one or both speakers will not harm your amp but the sound quality will suffer if the speakers are wired out of phase with each other.( poor bass,unstable image,midrange harshness). Single channel use: With rare exceptions this will cause no problems. Not recommended but unlikely to cause damage.Some amps would be unhappy with that type of set up however. I wouldn't do it.
