Overclocking Tips

Also I bought a 84W peltier, with the intention of making a water cooling system. Just for the hell of it I tried the peltier with the golden orb... man I could have cooked steaks on the damn heatsink... It will have to wait until I have time to build the damn water cooler.

Golden Orb on Athlon? must have modded it. As for the temp.. its a little high in my opinion. you can get a lot better heatsinks for around $30 to keep it in the low 40s. As for the peltier and waterblock.. have fun but dont fry your computer. With an 84W peltier.. you will have to take over 100W of heat away from your processor Definitly have some temp probes on that bad boy.

No mod on the orb.. It's a classic athlon. Had to solder some wires onto the PCB for L2 cache control, now my cache is fried, I have to run Wcpua every time I boot to turn it on. Oh well, win some lose some.

I won't bother replacing the HSF, I already made a waterblock so as soon as my buddy pulls the heater core out of his car I can finish the setup.
