jnorv
I installed a new set of 300B's two months back. Tonight when I tuned the system on, I had high distortion in the HF channel on one speaker (I biamp). Swapped tubes and the problem went away. What do I treat the pins with to make the problem go away forever. My previous set of tubes never caused me this problem. Jim N
NOSValves
Try some "Caig Pro Gold" if you want the pricey solution or just go the radio shack and buy some tuner cleaner . Spray either into its cap and then dunk the tube pins into the solution then put them in the socket and repeat a few times or you can use a tooth pick a drip drops in each tube pin holes .
