danno
I am modifying a La Scala for center-channel use. I've used the bucking magnets that Klipsch supplies for the Heresy II for the mid- and bass drivers in the La Scala, but Klipsch does not supply anything for the tweeter. I just found a ring magnet at a local surpluss store which is about the right weight, but the magnet is just over 4" in diameter. I suspect that the modified K-77-M will not fit in the cabinet with this magnet attached. Does anyone have any suggestions? TIA!
KhornKerry
See my post in Home Theater Section called "Magnet shield for Cornwall speaker" My Cornwall had a K77-M tweeter. You can shield it by using alternating layers of steel and cardboard. The ceramic magnet and Steel frame of the K33 woofer will also need shielding.
