user32i4723847289
Curious if there is any way I can set up all 4 satellites and both subs through 1 volume control (possibly remote controlled)? My sound card is an audigy 2 if that makes a difference. I'm not really sure where to start, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks. jzoz01
I wonder if you could use this? http://store.klipsch.com/details.asp?prodID=
justin_tx_16
No. Without modifying anything, thus voiding your warranty, you cannot do this. Unless you set the control pods to a good volume level and change the software volume using a remote control like the Keyspan digital media remote. user32i4723847289
What if I were to hook up the ProMedia DD-5.1? Would that be a solution? Link: http://store.klipsch.com/details.asp?ProdID=8 Thanks.
justin_tx_16
would essentially be the same as using the Keyspan but much more expensive.
user32i4723847289
Forgive my ignorance, but what is the keyspan? Also, I'm not really worried about voiding the warranty, I bought these a long time ago and the 12 month warranty that came with them has long expired. Thanks. seafarer
Keyspan is a small wireless ir Remote Control unit that can do many things via software. It sells for about $50.00 US at Compusa, Best Buy and other places. Read all about it at www.keyspan.com
justin_tx_16
if you could find a proper DIN splitter from like digikey electronics or something, then you could use one and not void the warranty. otherwise welding and slicing is involved... user32i4723847289
So if I buy the CP-1 and a splitter, then it's possible to control both from the CP-1 and there's no need for the DD-5.1 or keyspan? Are there any downsides to this? Thx.
justin_tx_16
you would only need a single control pod, if either of your promedia 2.1 control pods work then that is what you need. NOT THE CP-1. i have never cut open a control pod cable, but this shouldbe an easy thing to do. i would ask klipsch though, make sure there is no current that could blow something, which is very likely.
