wireless Posted June 6, 2003 Share Posted June 6, 2003 I got my rs-25s yesterday. Definitely the sound is diffuse. I had never used surrounds before and now I can hear the theory or surround speakers in practice. The sound just seems to fill the room without a localized point of origin. Based on wireless' comments, I stand by my prediction Not to pick nits, but these RS and SS (WDST) models aren't really dipoles. The dipole, of course, has 2 opposing speakers wired out of phase to create a null area between them, so that when placed next to you they don't hit you right in the listening area, but seem to come from around you somewhere.
