1velcro1
Does anyone have an idea the differance between the KSB 3.1's, and the SB 3's? Locally I can only find the SB3's (I really like their sound!) But I have seen some good internet deals on the 3.1's. thanks --j.

Guest BobG
The two are very different animals. SB-3, which is the current model, replaced the KSB-3.1 in our lineup. The SB-3 benefits from a much improved horn design employing 90 degree wide by 60 degree high dispersion rather than the 90 by 40 pattern of the older horn. The SB-3 uses a new aluminum dome driver instead of a plastic dome. It goes higher and sounds cleaner. SB-3 cabinet is less resonant and the porting is a better low turbulance design. This maintains low distortion, wide dynamic bass even at high volume. When playing the KSB-3.1 at low volumes, the bass is quite good, but it diminishes as volume increases due to port turbulance. SB-3 maintains bass balance at high volumes. If $ is tight go for the 3.1 but if you can afford the difference, SB-3 is the better sounding speaker. Nighthawk
I'd just like to say that the KSB 3.1's ROCK! ------------------ Tim "Nighthawk" Admire
