arfz28 Posted July 26, 2003 Share Posted July 26, 2003 An ad in the ST Louis paper landed me a nice shape sansui 8080 receiver for 75 bucks, face plate is in great shape the cabnit has a few scufs and scratches on it thow, the guy also had a sony cdp-590 cd player that he sold for me for 25 bucks, couldnt pass that up. I have cleaned the pots on it and all the fuses, and have it up and running on and old set of radio shack speakers. It is working real nice every thing works including all the faceplate lights which is a problem with this receivers.I cant wait to hook it up to the k-horns to see how it sounds compared to my sansui G-7700.WIFE didnt even cuss at me, I bet she will go shopping thow and get me back.Dont worry Craig it wont replace that scott 299a, LOL.
