samuelr
i recently blew an rf-3 tweeter. after bringing the speak to tweeter etc. to honor the warranty, it was shortly repaired and returned. my sales rep said it was a diphram that went on it. after bringing it home and testing it out, i was enraged to hear a tweeter that was not bright as before and did not compare to my other speaker. i tried channel switching on my receiver, but it wasn't that. my speaker is not sounding right. i can't here the highs or high-hats either even though a tiny amount of sound comes from it. it doesn't sound open. what could it be. i have to lug it back again and be another span of time without full sound. does anyone have an idea? maybe the cross-over? PhilMays
I know it's a pain, but take it back and tell them your not happy with the repair.
Guest BobG
The diaphragm is the only component that requires replacing, but if not done properly, you can obtain the results you describe. Take it back and clearly explain the situaition.
michael hurd
Sounds like the voice coil is slightly misaligned.
