e34rob
Am curious if it is better to switch my ss-1s to the front effects and put the sb-1s as the rear surrounds? Apparently the front effects only work during pro logic, whereas the rears should sound better as the sb-1 is a full range speaker, BTW I seem to watch more dolby-digital encoded material. All this is until I get the RS3's TIA, Rob
jdm56
I wouldn't change anything. But of course, I am completely insane so you might like to get another opinion. -jd "can't you hear the voices?" mccall
drdave
Hi!, I have experimented with exactly this problem and have finally decided on the best arrangement: SB-1's up front, SS-1's out back BUT the absolute best place I've found for them is in the corner with the woofer aiming into the room and the tweeters aiming along the side and back walls. This creates the most diffuse AND localized ambiance. When they are flush on the walls beside you or behind you, you will loose the spacious surround sound that you are looking for.
