damonrpayne Posted September 1, 2003 Share Posted September 1, 2003 I previously asked for help with a problem, my left surround channel would pop during DVD menus and have loud audible noise during movies. I tried different wire, putting different speakers on the channel, different DVD player, and moving the speaker to different places in the room. Nothing worked. Just to try out banana plugs I got advice on how to hook up reference series speakers with banana plugs and got a set of monster plugs. After hooking up the left surround channel that way, the problem went away. I can only assume wrapping raw wire around the binding post was causing an issue.
