easyeyes Posted September 18, 2003 Share Posted September 18, 2003 I've searched the archives for topics on this but no one mentioned the Legacy Classic. Just wondering if anyone from personal experience can tell me how they sound with tube equipment. If nothing else, this is a beautiful speaker. I called the 800 number and talked to a rep, he stated that someone did a demo using some 6 watt SETs. Initially, he thought that they would sound terrible, but the experience was more than he expected. The bass was some what lacking considering this is a 96db speaker, but the midrange was spot on. I have a 299 and considering the wattage difference, my curiosity is peaked. This company has a manufacturer/semi-headquarters located in Springfield IL, I'm coming back to the states next year to visit family in Peoria/Chicago IL. I'm seriously thinking of driving down to audition or if nothing else take a look/listen at these. If nothing else, we can tour the state capital. Thanks for any input.
