danechristian Posted October 8, 2003 Share Posted October 8, 2003 ok guys. im just curious about this issue. just an example. if you have a stereo amp rated at atleast 120/wpc continous 4-8 ohms, then you have a 2 pairs of speakers so basically you have 4 speakers all of the same kind. lets say they are rated 75wrms 8 ohms. ok how are you going to connect all of those speakers in a 2 channel amp? is it: for instance, first the 2 left speakers. hooking a speaker wire on the speakers binding post properly on the same phase. then the wire that will be hooked up on the amp should be +(1st left speaker) -(2nd left speaker) wire to a left channel postive clamp of the amp, then the -(1st left speaker) +(2nd left speaker) wire to a left channel negative clamp amp. same with the right speakers to the right channel. is the impedance still going to be the same at 8 ohms? or it will be 4 or 16 ohms? what about the sound quality? is it going to be still the same if volume is in mid? if the connections is incorrect. then what is the proper connection? ty Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
