RF-7's up front; RF-3's for surrounds...

will this work? I currently have KSF5 surrounds, plus a set of original Heresys at the back surround position. I'm considering purchasing the new series RF7's for the FL, FR, FC positions, all powered by a Denon 5800. I also have a C6 resting in my closet. Is it good for anything in this setup? Will the RF-3's give as much sound dispersion as the KSF5's? Help!!!

First off, for better placement considerations, the RC-7 would work very well for a center with the RF-7's. It sounds so good, it can even be used as a L/R speaker. Second, the efficiency difference of the KSF-S5 in relation to the front 7's plus the difference in tweeters to the 7's might not make a very good matchup. The S5's would be better for rear ambience than the RF-3's due to their dual horns covering a 180 degree pattern vs. the 90 degree pattern of the RF-3's. The RF-3's would be a fairly good matchup as rears though for 5 Channel "Stereo". Unless you already have the RF-3's, I'd keep the Heresy's on the rear for 5 channel and, if possible, get a set of the RS-7's for surround. I have the RS-3's as rears to go with my KLF-30's/KLF-C7 fronts and after a long listening session last week of the new product my next purchase will be RS-7's for the rear.
