There's really not much difference in design although the CF-3s are built a little better and the carbon graphite woofers sound different, and In my opinion, better than the reference series woofers. itsmyforte Posted October 15, 2003 Share Posted October 15, 2003 i've never heard CF3's but i'd imagine they have quite similar sound since they are both 2 way design using same size drivers. although the cf3's may have a bit more midrange grunt because of the lower xover point.
