middlecreekguy
Are the component video connections really better than the basic way of connecting the TV to it? The component video connection sends the signal from the DVD to the TV separating various parts of the picture through separate cables. A friend ask me this today and I don`t have a clue since I`m not into home theater stuff.
CO1
Not sure what you mean by flat screen because this could apply to an LCD monitor, plasma, flat tube, DLP or LCD RPTV but the best connections for video are DVI VGA Component S-video Composite
dougdrake
CO1 listed those in descending order of picture quality. Composite (the "regular" way) being the worst. And yes, to my eyes, there is a huge improvement by using component instead of composite. Doug
middlecreekguy
CO1, I`m not sure what I mean by flat screen either since I don`t know exactly what my friend has but sounds like Doug agrees . Thank you gentlemen.
