circuitjt Posted November 22, 2003 Share Posted November 22, 2003 I have a ht setup with a pair of k-horn mains and three "installed" version la scalas (industrial black with seperate bass and hf cabs no handles or corner hardware). During a little "demo" this morning one of my la scalas lost the bass output. Checked and replaced the fuse and checked through the fuse holder for continuity, all checks ok. The bass cab works fine when wired direct, so now I have to think something in the crossover went south. Anybody able to forward me a schematic for an AL-3 crossover? WMcD Posted November 22, 2003 Share Posted November 22, 2003 Service with a smile. Be a bit careful about putting power into the x over without a woofer attached. The combination of the cap and inductor in the x over form a resonant circuit. At some frequency (I'd have to calculate it) they form a short circuit to ground. Bob G. pointed this out some time ago.
