I also have a set of the SS-1 speakers (very nice), and a good looking pair of the Hersey's. Internally, all of them are flawless and sound great. I guess I could go to Best Buy and get one but I just can't see spending $279 for the SC-1 when I see RC-35's on the web advertised at about the same price. With the new distribution structure, BB is the only place I can find Synergy and they all sell at list price. I bought the other pieces in my system from a dealer that is now Reference exclusive at a decent discount. The Reference pieces are usually discounted and are damn near what BB sells the Synergy for.
