pfischer
Hi, first time posting here. called tech support and parts and neither could help; perhaps someone out there has experienced same as me now. I ("The Professional Movers") broke the "phase Switch" on my SW-8 - more like jammed it into one position. I would like to swap it out for another switch - can I swap in a simple toggle switch, same size etc..or are there issues I need to be aware of? I no longer have the instructions which may or may not have contained a schematic. Phil Lesh and PLQ just doesn't sound the same without my sub. Thanks, Paul
Aggie Klipsch
You can use a DPDT(DoublePoleDoubleThrow) toggle switch from Rat Shack or any electronic warehouse like Fry's. I would take it out and let them match it.

" I was thinking about suggesting this, but doesn't a DPDT switch have a center "off" position, which isn't present on most phase switches that I've encountered? I tried to find a DPDT switch, just with a quick google, that did not have an off position, but was unsuccessful.

fabulousfrankie
FYI, flip flopping the speaker wire going to the driver does the same thing as changing the position of the phase switch. All you need to do is keep it in the position that is the loudest response at the listening position.
