They are hooked up to a Natural Sound Yamaha A-500 on the A switch. jeffgeorge Posted June 9, 2001 Share Posted June 9, 2001 DwK, It really makes no difference what a speaker is rated to handle. The important thing is that the power you are giving it is CLEAN power. You will find that any Klipsch speaker can handle 2, 3, 4, 5 or more times as much continous power than it is rated for. You run into problems when you start feeding any speaker distortion. That will fry it quicker than anything. So, stay away from running the amp to its limit. I would rather have a 500 watt / channel amp running a pair of Heresy's than a 25 watt, and have to worry about the amp clipping. Although, my ears might think differently. My grandfather did alot of listening and research, the Heresys and the Yamaha is what he got, about 30 years ago.. I think It should be safe.
