Help with hooking RS-7 w/bananas

Hi:

I'm trying to hook up my RS-7 surrounds with the "keyhole" mounts. Problem is that I just put banana plugs on the speaker wire to get a nice tight connection, but the bananas stick out so far, I cannot mount the speakers on the wall now.

Any ideas?

Will there be much difference in sound quality if I don't use bananas, and just "thread" the wire through the hole bare?

Thanks for the input.

I really appreciate this board. You guys have helped me many times.

Just thread the bare wire thru the hole in the RS-7 binding post and snug it down. Bananas are generally used for their convienence when say, moving speakers around. No connector is better than any connector. Good luck!
