Hey guys...

My friend just got an Onkyo 801 receiver which is rated at 100w per channel ( and as some know, onkyo's ratings may be somewhat conservative, sompared to Sony and some others), and he just got a set of RSX-4's . He is putting all this in his small condo, so big speakers are not really an option ( he doesnt have the space, plus he cant play them TOO loud. Anyway, i was wondering if thats ok that receiver can push 100w while speakers are rated at 50 ? I've heard people say that as long as they dont sound distorted, and don't seem to be trying to hard to replicate whats being pushed into them - then its OK...

What can you tell me? He was looking at some polk (6700) but those are rated same as Klipsh, yet, dont sound nearly as good.

So is it OK?
