moer
I moved and had to disconnect my Klipsch THX 400 W speakers from my Compaq Presario 7000T desktop computer. I have not been able to find the connection diagram that came with the speakers and no matter how I connect them, they do not work. Either the computer freezes or I get loud noises. The colors for your speakers do not match the colors on the jacks on the back of the computer. For instance the speakers have green and light purple jacks and the computer has (in order from L to R) black, green, red, blue and yellow jacks. I know the red is for a microphone, but have tried the jacks in all the others and either the computer freezes after a loud noise or only some of the speakers work. Can you send me a replacement diagram for connecting these speakers to a computer? Thank you, Maureen E. pinipig523
you need to install a multichannel soundcard into your desktop computer. i think that what you have in there is integrated sound.. and usually it is 2 channel (stereo or 2.1).. this means there is no way to connect the speakers in the present configuration.
