DMF Posted January 22, 2004 Share Posted January 22, 2004 Howdy from the avsforum. I picked up Forte mids (K53) and tweeters (K75). Someone else got the xovers. (Very strange: all he wanted was the grillcloths and xovers...) Tweeters need diaphragms. A couple possibilities. One guy tried to sell me a pair of Fortes missing the tweeters and mids. (Huh?) That is a way to get the xovers. I don't see the woofers and box as usable (for this). I could buy a single xover from Klipsch, or mod one. On the box I'm thinking a pair of 8" flanking the tweeter with the mid above (I know higher tweeter is better, but I'm trying to keep it compact.) Seems to me that the lower crossover point is dictated more by the mid than by the woofers, so the Forte xover should be spot on. Comments?
