Maxer
I've been reading over the forums some, as I just got my speakers Friday of last week and have been seeing many people suggesting things to improve the sounds, addings weights, using plywood, replacing the speaker cables, etc.. Anyway is there someplace I can go that has a complete list of all these potential improvements? Also, can someone elaborate on the speaker wire replacement, as I am concerned with how thin it is. To replace the wire, what all must be done, can new wire still use the same sized plugs that go into the back of the satelite speakers? And since the 5.1's literally were announced the day I got my speakers (the link to the site about them anyway) did I get screwed as far as I should have waited and spent the extra $$ for 5.1? Slaz13
Naa you didnt get screwed. If you have any klipsch speakers your all good. I have the 4.2s and I love emmm so much! I replaced my speaker wire with 16gauge monster cable and it does indeed let bass flow through the sats much better. My friend did the wiring for me so I really cant explain it. Someone here can explain it well and I suggest you do it.
Maxer
With the wires, did you still use those 1/8 jacks in the back, or did you have to physically modify the speakers?
Slaz13
I used the 1/8 mini jacks. I didnt want to open them up and void the warranty.
jamesw
if you just bought them, then id recommend returning them and buying the 5.1s the unlucky ones (like) cant return them anymore
