davenrk
can you tell me please the differences between these models? the quality is better in which of them? here in italy they cost: rf 15 700 euro, rf 25 930 euro, rf 3 ii 1090, rf 35 1300 euro what should be the price of a pari of rf 3 (non II)....s years old...well used i think....? if i use an ibrid amp (preamp with tubes and final with solid state) should they work well? thank you! DrWho
as the numbers increase from 15-35, the low end response increases. the sensitiviy also increases which means it needs less watts to get the same volume. here's a link where you can find all the specs: http://www.klipsch.com/product/product_list.aspx?line=reference the RF-3II is an older version of the 35. the original RF-3 had some problems and was replaced by the RF-3II which outperformed it a lot. The difference between the 3II and the 35 are minimal, but the 35 is slightly better. I personally have only heard the RF-3II and it is an amazing speaker and well worth the investment. As far as your amp, it sounds like a good match to these speakers (though it's hard to say without specific details).
Fish
I had the rf3's in my bedroom and they sounded great to me,traded up though for 7's.I would think between $300 to $400 on the 3's in ok condition. Also the new models are very nice.
