Well I have the RF-3's, very similar to your speakers and I use them for movies and music on a regualar basis. I have a harman/kardon AVR 125, which is one of their lower end of receivers but it drives my speakers beautifly, maybe go for the 525?

I don't use a pre-amp setup just a reciever I paid about $800(cdn) for and I love it..

harman/kardon AVR 125

Pioneer DV-363-K

Xbox

Klipsch RF-3 ll's

Energy e:XL 25's (surrounds)

Samsung 27" TV

Acoustic Research component and optical cables

no no, I have the reference 35 all around (5.1 setup). Right now, while watching movie, it sound pretty good, but when listening to music, it doenst sounds good at all. I was thinking about Outlaw 950/770 combo, rotel... and suggention?

I didn't heard of any Outlaw's product because they usually sell online only(didn't have chance anyone who has it nearby). However I heard they are great as many people said(I can't say that because I didn't listen to any of it yet). I heard of rotel was great but it gets worse after moving their manufactory to somewhere. One way I'd say save up a little more bucks and go for great seperate like B&K plus something in total of 3000-3500. Another way if u want it now I'd go with some higher end reciever eg. Elite or Denon H/K(sure this idea won't have too much improvement than comparing to seperates).
