ssh
Dee, I'm posting in 2 channel because you usually hang-out here. I just wanted you to know that the LaS problem was the added volume control. I have the ALK's in now & they are both making good music. I may bring a couple of guys with me to the AR gathering. I'm trying to talk one into taking a Jolida & the other a Mac. We'll see. Daddy Dee
Hey Steve, Glad to hear about the LaS. Those were odd little controls on those speakers. I suppose those the L Pads to control the squawker and tweeter? I think I'd mentioned that those had been retired by the Rodgers Organ Co. Would be interesting to see how they were used when they were in service there. I've guessed they were used as speakers for voicing Rodgers electronic organs. Bring on your buds to the Arkansas gathering, and their gear, too. This is going to be fun. I expect to nail down a date by this time next week. ssh
Dee, I was really surprised to see two very different AA crossovers come out of them. I knew they were about 5 yrs apart, but when I first looked at the second one I thought, "No wonder it doesn't work, it has cans missing." Daddy Dee
Yep, I don't know, but have been curious about their manufacture dates. The type AA crossovers out of my '73 Khorns and '77 Scalas (in raw birch) are quite different. I was wondering about what year Klipsch started building so that the HF cabinet was all smooth lumber on top. Anyway, it is my assumption that the visible wood screw heads on the top is something that was from an old manufacturing process and not a user mod.
