mrsteel74
Okay my computer had met an untimely death with a water cooling accident. Since I'll be without my PC for a while I was wondering if I can hook up my 4.1 setup to my DVD player. My DVD player has the standard Left and Right audio out as well as hook ups for a complete 5.1 setup. How would I go about hooking up my speakers? Do I get a 1/8" to RCA adapter and hook it up to the standard audio outs or would I get a Y cable and hook it up to the 5.1 speaker jacks. My DVD does have a small AMP it doesn't put out a whole lot of power. Any input is appreciated and I'll give more info if needed.
Rdmarsiii
Man, that sucks about your computer. All you should need is the Male RCA to the Female 1/8. You would need two of the if you want all you channels. Good Luck!
mrsteel74
Hmmm no good I can get only get 1 or 2 of the speakers to work but not all 4. I hope my speakers didn't get fried when my PC died.
Moderators Amy Posted February 13, 2004 Moderators Share Posted February 13, 2004 Make sure the 1/8" ends are stereo and not mono...
Rdmarsiii
So how did your water cooling break? It shouldnt have fried your 4.1's. Try hooking them up to a portable CD player or to a friend's computer to see what happens.
