mobile homeless Posted February 15, 2004 Share Posted February 15, 2004 The Linn Axis is a cool little deck and the Audioquest PT6 not a bad arm either. You can put better wire in it as well although I would probably just leave it alone if in good shape. The Axis is not the equal of the LP-12 but for $350-450 or so, is a nice table if it has been treated well. It's a lot less finicky than the LP-12. With buying anything like a table and arm, a LOT depends on the previous owner and the care taken with the deck/arm. The PT6 is an aftermarket arm as most of the Axis came with the Basik Plus. Best to know the history - see what you can find out about it.
