basehead Posted February 24, 2004 Share Posted February 24, 2004 I just recieved the SC-1 center as a gift and now need to upgrade my 15 y/o Bose 301 fronts (needless to say they don't match...at all). Do I need to get the Sb-2's (to match) or will a Reference match close enough??? My crappy old Bose will probably replace crappy old JBL rears. Thanks! whadyasay Posted February 24, 2004 Share Posted February 24, 2004 The SB-2's will be a better match, but I used an SC-1 with my RB-25's for a short time while I was looking for an RC-25, and it blended very well. You'll be getting a better set of speakers by going with the RB-25's, and they are avilable for about the same price (be careful with unauthorized dealers) as the SB-2's are priced at Best Buy.
