Roboto
Sighted HOT 4.1 sub in Singapore. Was playing at about 1/2 volume on the Klipsch and 75% volume on my PC, about half an hour later, really bad distortion. Back plate hot like hell. Called my local agent and they said that they know about the problem and would fix it. Seems that the heat problem is not confined to a small percentage of subs from a particular batch. Guess I got lucky. Going to buy some lottery tickets and hope I my luck holds. Questions for Amy. 1. How they gonna "FIX" it? They told me just to bring the sub. They gonna open it and change some components inside? 2. Would mounting heatsinks to the back of the sub help? Would that void the warrenty. bloodeye2000
Did you let it cool a little, and then test it out again ? Was there still distortion ? ------------------ //Nick
Roboto
Yep after letting them idle for about an hour, I tried to play some mp3s and there distortion was still there. The back plate was still very hot. I let it idle till this morning, but still the back was really hot. Not like last time. Anyway have brought them to my local service center. They said that it would take about 2 weeks!!! Darn, no music, no games, no TV, no DVD. Life sucks without Klipsch And to think I just bought D2:LOD and Emperor:Bat for Dune. Not gonna install it till my sub comes home. Think I gonna buy a book.
