Hard 21
I, for the first time, excluding listning to some synergy speakers at Best Buy, auditioned the 5.1 R35 set. To me they sounded very very nice. But I was in some luxurious enclosed room. The guy that ran the store was a buddy of mine and the only negative comment he made was that "here's where they suffer. They should sound brighter than that." Now, I can't remember what we were listning to when he said that. We listened to some Country, some Hip Hop, and the beginning of a Batman movie. Even to my beginner ears, I know there was something special about those speakers with that movie playing. Anyway, what was he talkink about when he reffered to the brightness? TauRus
Hard, you probably have to address this question back to that guy. I dont believe anyone here will know what that guy was thinking about when he said that. Or, ..was he thinking then?
Darren
I agree - you should ask him to demo speakers that have the characteristics he's referring to for you to compare. Interesting though - people who don't like Klipsch often say they're too bright. Never heard they should be "brighter".
Hard 21
Oh, well maybe at the time he said that he was talking about the paradigms. He was switching back and forth.
