Tweek
how exactly are they supposed to be placed? back? side? kind of in between at an angle?
ygmn
For side surrounds on the side walls.....for rear surrounds onthe rear wall.... If you have 5.1 then they would be your side surrounds... for 6.1 or 7.1 they could be in both rear and side positions....
Tweek
the reason i ask this question is because my Best Buy's Tech demo with Klipsch Reference series speakres and a nice big plasma, they put the RS's behind the listener, which i thought was odd
m00n
That could be because they didn't have any better way to mount them. Mine were on the sides. What it boils down to is how do they sound best in your room. Are they better on the side walls or behind you. If you want the technical answer, I'm rather sure they were meant to be on the side walls, however, many people put them on the rear walls as well.
