Hard 21
I have my rig in a fairly small (not tiny) bedroom. Is there a recommended phase and frequency setting? I have almost no experience with subs. I have this one inbetween the right front and the TV about 7 inches from the wall. P.S. I'm about to watch Master & Commander. Hope it's good. Hard 21
My bad. Just realized where I posted this. I'm about to put it in the sub room.
toddvj
I think this is an appropriate place to post this question. I can answer the frequency part. If you are running a HT setup, you should set the Crossover Frequency all the way up, or bypass it altogether, if it has that option, and let the receiver/processor do the Crossover work. As far as Phase, it depends on the room. There is no one correct answer. Most people recommend crawling around on all fours to find the correct phase, but I would say, if it sounds good in your listening postion, leave it alone. If you are getting too much, or not enough bass in your listening postion, adjust the phase.
