daschrier
I have a pair of rf-3's and 2 of the woofers got small pits when I moved them into my new apartment. There is a small pit in 1 woofer from each speaker tower. I don't think the pit really affects the sound, but it sure makes my speakers look junky....is it possible to buy a new pair of woofers and if so how much do they cost? Also, are the rf-3 II woofers any different or was the internal wiring the only difference?
Dome
You can order the woofers from Klipsch parts department. Parts Department Phone Number: 317-860-8100 Toll Free: 800-274-5547 Fax Number: 317-860-9195 E-mail: parts@klipsch.com I believe those woofers cost around $60, but I could be mistaken. As far as RF3 and RF3II differences: The RF3II had a slightly redesigned grill which allowed it to be tipped forward slightly without breaking the pegs... it had stronger feet... the internal wiring, and I hear a rear port that was secured better. That's really it though, nothing major.
swampcat
Find your local authorized Klipsch warranty center , they'll have them for sale. Place near me would recone existing woofers with Klipsch cones and surrounds cheaper than new woofers.
