kenratboy
On those combo DVD/VCR units, how do you hook them up? Are the two sides independent from each other, as in, the VCR needs to be plugged in by coax or RCA, and then the DVD player hooks up, or will the DVD outputs (S-video, component and optical outs) carry the VCR signal also? Thanks!
jdm56
We've got a Panasonic combo unit in the living room. It has a component video output that, of course only functions with DVD. The composite output will cary both.
kenratboy
Well, I scooted over to Crutchfield, and it looks like: -Coax and composite do both -S-video and component are for the DVD player only, along with the optical outs -On SVHS units, the S-video will do the VCR, too. Is that correct?
