RBM
I am looking for a better passive radiator for my SW-12 II. I feel that the Klipsch radiator is loose and bottoms out way before the driver itself does. I am looking for a tighter radiator. I know I may lose a little sensitivity but I would rather tighten the sound. I am not looking to make a major cabinet change. I am looking at the Peerless XLS-12 passive radiator. Does any one have any experience with that one or does any one have other/better suggestions.
Malcolm
My guess is the passive radiator is not your problem. It was designed specifically for this application likely probably give disappointing results. IMHO you would be better off finding another sub that better meets your needs. If you decide to proceed with the replacement, be aware that you will probably need to tune the mass of the replacement for the specific application. At least any changes you make will be easily reverisible if they don't work out.
