doctorcilantro
My brother has owned a 4.1 setup for a couple years and I was building him a new PC the other day when I noticed something strange. The volume control on the 4.1 has a static spot from about 8:00 to 1:00; just like on some older amp you might have lying around. Is this a known defect with Promedias? thanks, Jonathan Catuccio
doudou
if you mean that between 8 and 1 o clock the volume don t get louder, it can be normal. i had 2 promedia 2.1 some times ago, and after 11 o clock the sound increased very very slowly. anyway after 11o clock, it was so loud that i could not listen to them more than 1 minute
doctorcilantro
No, I mean static...hiss is a better word. It comes in and cuts right out at the specified locations. Jon
MD1032
The pot's going bad. Replace it, or get a new CP-1.
doudou
ok i understand now. md1032 is right: the control pod may have a problem.
HydrogeN
I had the same issue. I found the CP-1 and installed it. Now I get no power on the new pod, and no power on the old one either.I even looked to see if maybe a fuse had blown but no dice. Now I have a 5 piece door stop. Any advice. doudou
it s may be one of the pin of the din plug that run from the CP1 to the sub.
