larrymaher Posted September 30, 2004 Share Posted September 30, 2004 Tough choice to make??? I can get the Marantz a lot cheaper, say 775 vs. 1000 for the Denon. 105 watts vs. 120 watts. I really dont need the extra bells/whistles of the Denon, and would like to save the $. Would i miss much by opting for the Marantz? I hate to beat this decision to death. I am upgrading from a Yamaha RXV-620 ($350 new, pretty cheap unit) so i expect to hear a big difference in quality. Thanks for the help. Whats your vote? 7400 or 3805. yromj Posted September 30, 2004 Share Posted September 30, 2004 As a proud owner of the 7400, I vote for the Marantz. It has served me very well. There's not really very many features you're giving up either. The most notable exception to that is the Auto setup. The Marantz remote is good enough that it more than makes up for that, IMHO.
