  1. hey, where can i get this MINK OIL? I have a sunfire signature and need to lube it. I have had it 6 months, simply incredible. Hidden behind a chair. thanks ear!
  2. Good discussion fellas! I had the PB2-Plus from SVS! Performed nicely but I returned it to get the Sunfire Signature and I am glad I did. I found a Signature, new, without the new EQ feature for $1000 on audiogon.com. Had it a year now and am thrilled! The PB2-Plus was a behemoth, in size, I knew it when i ordered it, but until you get it in your room, figure out wehre it sounds best, it's a BIT MUCH! I would say they both perform admirably! Good luck fellas!
  3. Im trying to decide if i need the Optical output on my next DVD player? I currently use the digital RCA out put from my 2nd string DVD player and I can get a Toshiba SD-3950 for 50 bucks right now but it doesnt have an optical output for audio? Is there MUCh difference in the 2 types of audio, will i ever notice? Thanks~

  5. Thanks for the Link. How can i use a DVI output into my non DVI Mits. 55" WS-55819? is there a connector? Do you think it makes a huge difference? Thanks!
  6. THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP FELLAS! BTW, I am using a Mitsubishi WS-55819,rear projection CRT set about 3 years old, that i am very happy with. I paid 2500 for it back then, it still looks great for 1080i broadcasts, and Last night i hooked up my upstairs TOshiba SD-3950 DVD player to the 55" and it looked pretty good. I am wondering if simply buying another $49 dollar SD-3950 would suffice. My set does not have DVI/HDMI inputs! I may consider a DVD recorder in the near future to copy all my family home videos from VHS to DVD soon. ( i have about 30 VHS tapes filled up right now.) anyone ever do this? thanks again for the help! Larry
  7. Hello, and thanks for replying. I have a Denon AVR-3805 Receiver and need a new DVD player. My 3 yr old Toshiba SLD-3750 flashes "DISK ERROR" and I tried to fix it without luck. Anyone else ever have this problem? Therefore, can someone recomend a new DVD player. I guess i should get a Denon DVD? I like the thought of a 5 disc progressive player as i like to put 5 concert dvd's in and switch between them? budget 200-300? thanks! BTW, i run Klipsch RF3 - ii's and RC-35 center, and Sunfire Signature sub.
  8. I have the same speakers. I use a DEnon AVR-3805 and am pleased. I also considered the Marantz 7400. I used to have a lower end Yamaha (rxv-620) and the speakers were under-powered. $ wise, the yammy was 350, the marantz about 700, the denon, i paid about 950. So money is a factor.
  9. I cant seem to find on the Denon site? I guess im thinking there are 4 digit codes for make/model of component. Is that what im looking for?
  10. I have a DEnon 3805 and want to program the supplied remote to operate my DVD, TV, Cable box. Without using the learning capability, are there codes available to program the remote? there are none supplied in the owenrs manual? Any help is appreciated.
  11. Kind of a funny question. I saw a Bee Gees concert on Direct TV about a year or 2 ago, and I dont know the name of the DVD. It was the 3 Bee Gees, and they did like acoustic versions i think. ANyone know if it was the One Night Only DVD, or was it the Live by Request? Thanks I want to purchase the right one.
  12. Tough choice to make??? I can get the Marantz a lot cheaper, say 775 vs. 1000 for the Denon. 105 watts vs. 120 watts. I really dont need the extra bells/whistles of the Denon, and would like to save the $. Would i miss much by opting for the Marantz? I hate to beat this decision to death. I am upgrading from a Yamaha RXV-620 ($350 new, pretty cheap unit) so i expect to hear a big difference in quality. Thanks for the help. Whats your vote? 7400 or 3805. I have RF3 mains, RC-35 center, and a Sunfire True 13" sub. Thanks again.
  13. I am interested in these 2 and am not sure I can justify the extra money for the latest 3805. If i can get a 3803 for about 1/2 the price of the 3805, would i miss the extra 10 watts per channel? I am not a "feature crazy" person so I am trying to save a little money. thanks for the help in deciding.
