Spider
I have a Cary 300SEI integ amp to drive my LS. Am auditioning the Cary 308 CD player and it sounds great on most music. However some old favorite vocal and a cappella CD's sound terrible. These CD sound fine on my 20 year old Luxman CD player.. any suggestions for a replacment player and/or why this might be happening? The Carey sounds great on most other music (at least to my ears). oscarsear
Try listening to a Musical Fidelity Trivista SACD player. Their DAC made a massive improvement in my Jolida JD-100A and I use the Cary SLI-80 integrated amp.
nicholtl
What's the budget? If you're willing to spend top dollar, perhaps something from Linn, Classe, Music Hall, Shanling, Bel Canto, Krell, Arcam, Audio Note, or Cary would be worth looking into?
