christjared
Has anyone had one of these receivers? Does the stereo setup sound strong with strong bass and clean highs? Would this receiver match my KG4's well? Is there anyway to turn off crossover points on this receiver? If anyone has one of these that they have used and like it tell me more about it! If anyone has one for sale that would be awesome.
dougdrake
You can turn off any crossover by saying No, you don't have a subwoofer. All bass will go out the main speaker outputs.
cmdridq
I have one and think it's a great deal for the money. Ecost was selling refurbed 884s, which is the same thing, for about $270 recently.
jheis
I suckered myself into buying one because of its "clearance" price. Got it home and A-B'd it against an ancient B&K ST140 and it sounded like crap - lots of channels of crap - but still crap. Additionally, the tuner section could not lock on to stations that my 11 year old Carver CT-17 pulled in with ease. On top of that, it's made in China. Took it back - bit the bullet and traded it in on a B&K Ref. 50 and a couple of new amps. Run DO NOT WALK from this unit - the sound is K-Mart quality - you will not be happy with it. Just my opinion, take it for what it's worth. YMMV. James
