Forte speakers in a home theater upgrade

I've got a pair of Klipsch Forte II that I've had for 15 years. Time to upgrade to a home theater setting. My question is, "will these speakers work well as the front speakers in new home theater setup", or should I start from scratch. I imagine they should work well, so if so, how do I properly match these speakers with a others to have a proper system?

Why not? I have a set of Forte I for my theater left and right, and they are great! I just picked up a set of Forte's for surrounds, and use an Academy as a center channel.

Your BEST bet is another Forte II as center, then probably an Academy (harder to find and expensive). Surrounds are less critical; the idea is to get the whole set as closely TIMBRE MATCHED as possible.

It means to be matched in the sensation regarding tonal sound that cannot be described by loudness or pitch, but moreso related to the strength of the various harmonics and their fundamental change across time.

In other words, to be similar in tonal balance. All Reference series are timbre matched, as are the Synergies. I'm not sure if Heritage's are across the board, however. That's why nobody ever recommends buying Synergy bookshelves as surrounds to compliment Khorns or RF7's.
