christjared
When I recieved my KG4's in the mail I was excited but when I opened up the box I found one of the speakers in not so *mint* condition. One of the speaker stands that are connected on the bottom of the speaker was broken off Has anyone tried to fix these before? How easy of a task it is? How would I go about fixing it? Daddy Dee
Chris, I haven't taken a close look at their construction, however, I would imagine that since it is a wood product... mdf? ...that as long as you can fit the pieces together, Elmer's type wood glue would bond it nicely. Using some clamps long enough to extend the length of the speaker will give it a little pressure and it would be stronger than new in 24 hours. BTW, sorry to hear that they weren't packed well enough to survive shipping. That is one bummer to open up a package and find damage like that. michael hurd
According to the specs sheet, they are MDF ( medium density fiberboard ). Pictures would help to asses the damage, also is the vinyl or veneer damaged?
