robster Posted December 4, 2004 Share Posted December 4, 2004 Howdee, I'm himming and hawing about selling my mint AR ES-1 turntable and upgrading. My Ar ES-1 I bought it in the 1980's has stock AR arm and new Ortofon OM-20 cartridge. So many choices,can't spend over $1600. Considering the VPI Scout,but would like to wait for one to come up used on Audigon or E-Bay. What table can you suggest or should I just get a Scout? The BIX on Bottlehead site for $900 with Rega arm sounds appealing too. I'll be using turntable with my Fisher 400 (X) Bizzy Bee tube receiver and Klipsch Forte speakers. Thanks for all and any help.
