I've read in other postings in this forum that the original Heresys went through some manufacturing changes during their run. 3dzapper Posted December 6, 2004 Share Posted December 6, 2004 '78 is just right! The early Heresys were built as centers with attenuated bass response. The later Heresy 1.5s were a bit sharp. That is what mine were when I got them. I changed out the mid horns and drivers to the Alnico/iron like in the '78's. A little rope caulk, 4 good 2uF capacitors to replace the original 26 YO motor runs and a pound of accustistuff in each and those babies will purr.
