Audio Flynn
I was never sold on the heft of the components and transformers of the Eico tube integrateds compared to the Scott's. Heard of some being pretty troublesome as rebuild projects. I saw this ad on Audiogon. I have this stock pre in my system right now. Sound is very musical. If you are like me and find the lure of vintage to be very interesting or find the cash for a new Mapletree or Juicy Music Blueberry hard to collect with all of the family car and appliance reapirs; this may be a sound low cost experiement at an asking price of $ 399. I do not know the seller. http://cls.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?preatube&1109470543
Audio Flynn
http://cls.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?preatube&1107637126 And this is the AMPEX model that I own. Reasonable price as well. These will NOT be dead quiet like a new preamp. BUT they can be quite quiet and exceedingly musical for getting your "feet wet" with tubes.
